plasma eye lift - the incredible alternative to cosmetic surgery
If you're looking for a solution for sagging eye lids but aren't ready to resort to surgery, the Plasma Eye Lift at our Oxfordshire and Warwickshire clinics may be the alternative for you.
This non-invasive 'Soft Surgery' technology allows us to tighten and lift sagging skin around the eye area with great results.
We offer the latest Nano Plasma procedure (which has overtaken Plexr) to provide non-surgical blepharoplasty for men and women, with minimal downtime.
The Nano Plasma device does not enter or break the skin but actually acts just over the skin to stimulate the contraction and tightening of fibres in the skin - resulting in a skin tightening effect and reducing excess skin.
The Plasma Eye Lift treatment allows for gradual natural-looking results and scar-less correction of the upper or lower eyelid areas.
Aside from the eye area, we also use Nano Plasma as a great non-surgical option to rejuvenate and tighten other areas of the face, including the peri-oral area - targeting smokers lines and wrinkles above the mouth for instance.

frequently asked questions
How safe is Plasma Treatment?
Nano Plasma is an incredibly safe procedure which does not involve injecting or cutting the skin. It is suitable for all skin types. It is important to follow all aftercare instructions carefully to avoid risk of delayed healing, infection, pigmentation, or scarring.
What can I expect during Plasma Treatment?
Prior to treatment you will be treated with topical anaesthetic to allow sufficient time for this to take full effect. During the procedure the target area will be worked over and discomfort will be kept to a minimum. The actual procedure itself is quite quick (around half an hour for the upper or lower blepharoplasty), though we will always take sufficient time as necessary to ensure your comfort and safety. Following the procedure the treated skin will have dark/black dots over it and the area will be protected with medicated cover-up.
Does Plasma Treatment hurt?
We numb the area to be treated with strong topical anaesthetic cream, and in some cases if appropriate, a dental block can be used, prior to procedure. The anaesthetic ensures that any discomfort is kept to a minimum. The plasma procedure involves short sharp zaps to the skin which may feel uncomfortable, and are comparable to laser treatment. Topical anaesthetic is very effective and does not involve the same risks of general anaesthetic used in surgical procedures.
Are there any side effects?
With the Eye Lift treatment the main side effect you may experience is some swelling initially after treatment and possibly for around 2-3 days following. This is a perfectly normal response. We advise taking non-drowsy antihistamine, keeping the area cool, and staying upright as much as feasible to help any swelling to settle down. You may feel some sensitivity, tingling, or tightness in the area, following treatment during the healing process. The other side effect with all Nano Plasma treatments is the natural carbon crusting and scabbing over of the treated area while the new skin underneath is developing and the area is healing - this can last for c. 7 - 20 days (varies according to individual).
Is there any downtime?
Things to expect after treatment:
Some initial swelling - particularly for the eye area - this will usually settle over 48hrs or so
Sensation of tightness in the area
Sensitivity to sunlight during the healing process (up to 6 weeks) - you must protect the area with SPF 50 and stay out of the sun to prevent sun burn and pigmentation
Darker brown carbon crusts will form over the treated area - these will naturally scab and flake off - this is an important part of your body's natural healing process and you MUST leave these alone to heal naturally. Avoid touching the area.
New skin which may be pinker or more lightly coloured forming in the treated area - you MUST protect this with SPF until the skin returns to your normal colour

How long do results last?
The plasma treatment makes a fundamental change in the skin, for example, removing excess skin so this means that results are permanent (as they are in cosmetic surgery), though your skin will continue to age naturally following treatment. Please note that, as with all medical aesthetics procedures, results can be subjective and can never be guaranteed.
