A New Name and New Home for our Warwickshire Cosmetic Clinic
The beginning of 2016 saw quite a monumental change for us when we relocated from our Leamington Spa town centre location (which had been our clinic home for some 11 years) to new much more private clinic premises offering a modern and spacious treatment area - not to mention free parking right outside (like pure gold dust in Leamington!)
While at the hectic time of moving it felt unsettling and quite emotional to leave our old premises after so long, since then we have been absolutely delighted to receive hugely positive feedback from our Warwickshire clients; who tell us they prefer both the privacy and convenience of our new location.
We also underwent a change of name with the move, from ‘GloClinics’ to become ‘Leamington Facial Aesthetics’, aligning with our Botley based clinic in Oxfordshire; collectively ‘Oxford & Leamington Facial Aesthetics’ since we are the same team regardless of where you visit us. This change also resulted in this fresh new clinic website to bring everything bang up to date and into one place - we have also been delighted with the feedback about this.
Another Year of Learning
It has been another busy year for Rosie (the Clinic Founder and our sole practitioner) as she continues learning as ever; keeping up to date with the very latest practice area developments in this fast moving area and adding to her wealth of knowledge and experience.
During 2016 Rosie attended a number of leading UK conferences in London including the Aesthetics Conference & Exhibition in March, the UK Association of PDO Threads conference, the Clinical Cosmetic and Reconstructive Expo in October, and Advanced Facial Anatomy training led by Galderma in Glasgow, as well as many other clinical training masterclasses throughout the year.
I also enjoyed attending the Clinic Management as well as some of the clinical demonstrations and events of many of the conferences above as well as participating in regular Obagi Medical Ambassador Meetings, and the annual Smart Ideas Conference hosted by Consulting Rooms.
For the New Year, Rosie is already looking forward to attending the International Master Course on Aging Science (IMCAS) World Congress in Paris in January 2017, as a guest of Profhilo. IMCAS is the leading international aesthetic medicine conference, with participants from 85 countries including thousands of aesthetic practitioners, plastic surgeons, and dermatologists - it is sure to be an exceptional event to start off the year.
Aesthetics Awards 2016
A definite highlight this year was Rosie being shortlisted as a finalist for the UK and Ireland-wide Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner of the Year in the Aesthetics Awards 2016 for which there was an exceptionally high standard of entries.
We are grateful to all clients who so kindly took the time to provide testimonials about Rosie's care, which undoubtably boosted our entry! Rosie completely loves her clinical work and I know she feels rewarded every time she sees a happy client who feels transformed but it was great to see her receive this wider recognition.
The awards ceremony bash in London earlier this month was such a fun end to the year and felt like the start of the Christmas celebrations. You can see some pictures from the night in our other recent blog post here.
New Additions to our Treatment Portfolio
At Oxford & Leamington Facial Aesthetics we always seek to offer the best and most effective injectable treatments for anti-ageing, which must meet Rosie’s rigorous standards since she will never be swayed by fads! This year we elected to add Profhilo to our offering and we are so glad we did.
We have seen beautiful results and received fantastic feedback from clients who tell us consistently that they love the results and the lack of swelling, bruising, or any 'down time' with this transformative treatment. It was great to see Profhilo receive well-deserved recognition, winning The Barry Knapp Award for Product Innovation of the Year, and receiving a High Commendation for Injectable Product of the Year at this year's Aesthetics Awards.
Key considerations for Rosie in choosing products and procedures are always: absolutely optimum safety, client comfort during the procedure, and value in terms of results and longevity.
We continue to keep our ears to the ground and will keep you posted on the best developments in 2017!
Wishing You a Happy New Year
More generally, we have enjoyed meeting so many lovely new clients this year as well as always appreciating those we have come to know so well over many years - we never take it for granted that you continue to choose and trust us for your care - thank you.
We hope that you are ending your year on a high and wish you a very happy festive period; we look forward to seeing you in the clinic in 2017.
