hyalase for removal of unwanted dermal filler
Sometimes the results of dermal filler procedures are not as you hoped they would be. You may have been left with an undesired result such as an overly-filled area in the lips, cheeks or elsewhere. Or perhaps you have later changed your mind and decided that, while the results achieved were objectively good, the procedure simply was not for you personally.
Independent Nurse Prescriber, Rosie Cooper, applies her 15 years experience in dermal fillers to assist patients seeking reversal and correction of procedures in Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and beyond. Rosie has carried out thousands of safe dermal fillers procedures during her career. Rosie is highly knowledgeable and skilled in the use of Hyalase (hyaluronidase) to effectively and safely: • Dissolve Unwanted Dermal Fillers • Reverse Overly-Filled Cheeks and Lips |

frequently asked questions
What are my options if I am unhappy with dermal filler results?
We generally recommend that wherever possible you return to the clinic where you received treatment in order to discuss your options with them. This is especially important if you are unsure which filler product has been used. Options may include: waiting until the hyaluronic acid filler product is naturally metabolised by your system and results diminish; undergoing Hyalase (hyaluronidase) procedure to have the dermal filler product dissolved.
How can dermal filler be corrected?
Hyalase (hyaluronidase) can be injected into the previously treated area(s) to dissolve the dermal filler product that was placed there.
What types of dermal filler can be dissolved?
All brands of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) based dermal fillers can be effectively dissolved, including Emervel, Restylane, Perlane, Juvederm, Teosyal, and Belotero. Those which are not HA-based, such as Radiesse or permanent filler using Silicone, cannot be dissolved with Hyalase.
How many reversal treatments will I need?
In many cases just one treatment will be required but if a particularly deep area has been filled, a lot of product has been used, and/or the filler has been present for some time, you may need to return for a further one or two visits which could involve further cost. Your results and safety are our utmost priorities. We will give you an indication of this at the time of consultation.
Can an area be re-treated after dissolving?
Once a product has been dissolved it is fine to re-treat if you are certain that is the best course of action for you. We would advise that you wait a few weeks following the reversal before looking at re-treating to ensure that the area has fully settled and healed. At that point we can discuss with you the results you are seeking from a re-treatment and whether / how far these are achievable.
