my review of the new oabgi polish + mask

As a skincare obsessive I was so excited to get my hands on this new Obagi mask and couldn't wait to try it out for the first time.

It did not disappoint and is an utter delight to use. The first thing you notice on opening it up is the lovely colour and smell - both resembling the most delicious orange sherbet!

The Polish + Mask is really easy to use. You smooth a thin layer over damp skin and just sit back and relax for around 10 minutes. For me it was quite a tingle on my skin - that's the active ingredient, powerful 30% L-ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) getting to work. Personally, I like skincare products that feel like they're actually doing something!

Vitamin C is an important ingredient for skin health and should play a part in any skincare regime. The L-ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) used in the Obagi range is vastly superior to others on the market - it is a much higher strenght and is in highly bioavailable form, meaning your skin will readily absorb it and reap the benefits. Vitamin C is highly anti-inflammatory (helping to reduce redness, irritation and blemishes), has brightening and smoothing effects, and is a superb anti-ageing ingredient.

The mask is easy to wash off with warm water and immediately after use my skin felt softer and appeared smoother and much brighter. My husband said straight away that my skin looked more plump and youthful - without any prompts or hints from me!

My skin is looking more refined and the mask definitely helped to reduce and calm my breakouts. I was delighted to see my normally dark purple acne scars appeared lighter and less noticeable. Some days later I had a little bit of superficial flaking on my skin, and a week later it is looking and feeling fantastic - I'm noticing that my makeup is going on much better as my skin is a lot smoother to begin with.
